Privacy Policy

What we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Last updated: April 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how My Foodie Zone (“we,” “us,” or “the Site”) collects, uses, and protects information from visitors. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

When you submit a review or comment, we collect the name you enter, your comment text, and optionally your email address. Email addresses are not displayed publicly.

Automatically collected information

Like most websites, we collect standard log data through our hosting provider, including:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring website
  • General location (country or region — not precise)

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies:

  • Session cookies — used for administrator login only. Regular visitors are not tracked with session cookies.
  • Analytics cookies — if enabled, we use privacy-focused analytics to understand which recipes are popular and how visitors find the Site. These do not identify individual users.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Display your reviews and ratings on recipe pages (after moderation)
  • Respond to messages you send us
  • Understand which recipes and content are useful
  • Improve Site performance and security
  • Detect and prevent spam or abuse

What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell your information to third parties.
  • We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly subscribe.
  • We do not use your data for advertising personalization.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare — hosting and CDN. Cloudflare may log IP addresses for security purposes.
  • Cloudflare R2 — image storage.
  • Turso — database hosting.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy. We only share information with them as necessary to run the Site.

Pinterest and Social Sharing

When you share a recipe to Pinterest or another social platform, that platform's privacy policy applies to the share. We include open-graph and structured-data tags on recipe pages so sharing works properly; these do not track you.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your information
  • Opt out of certain uses of your information

To exercise any of these rights, email us at nadia@myfoodiezone.com.

Children

This Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Site evolves. When we make significant changes, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
